The 2013 Oscars, hosted by Seth Mcfarlane was packed full of surprises and sure shots. Highlights included Mcfarlane's opening scene with surprise guest host Captain Kirk from the future, to Anne Hathaway's pointed frostiness as she accepted the supporting actress award - think gooseflesh in the chest, ahem. Accepting for best film was Argo's director Ben Affleck, who had been snubbed by the Academy for best director, which went to Ang Li for Life of Pi.

But, the best parts were William Shatner co-hosting the show from the future and Adele's Skyfall performance.
